Oral History Australia (OHA) is inviting applications for its three awards – the Hazel de Berg Award for Excellence in Oral History and the OHA book and media awards – with recipients to be announced during the Biennial Conference in Melbourne in November 2024.
Nominations and applications for the three awards close on 31 August 2024.
The three awards are determined every two years in conjunction with the biennial conference.
The Hazel de Berg Award for Excellence in Oral History is named after one of Australia’s pioneering and most prolific oral historians who recorded just over 1300 interviews during her lifetime. The award was first awarded in 2006 and to date there have been just nine recipients. To find out more about Hazel de Berg go to:
The OHA introduced the book and media awards in 2019. To date there have been three recipients in each category.
