1. **NEW** Ideas and skills exchange: OHV support group
Date: Tuesday 9 May
FREE – The Moat @ SLV, 5.30-6.30pm. Bookings not required.
If you’re an oral history practitioner who wants to meet and discuss their craft, please join us for an informal chat at Moat. This session will be facilitated by Al Thomson and is your opportunity to ask questions and learn more about how others practice oral history. No need to book, please just turn up.
2. OHV Symposium and Call for Papers
Papers due: Friday 5 May
Save the date: Symposium – Saturday 10 June
Oral History Victoria’s annual symposium “Oral History in a digital age” being held on June 10 is calling for papers. We’re looking for presenters of all varieties – community and professional historians, students, academics – and at all stages of their careers. Please visit our events page for more information.
2. Book Launch: “Australian Lives: An Intimate History”
Date: Monday 22 May
FREE but please click here to reserve your ticket
Australian Lives: An Intimate History, by Anisa Puri and Alistair Thomson, is a major new oral history publication from the Australian Generations Oral History Project. The book captures in text and audio the extraordinary life stories of 50 so-called ‘ordinary’ Australians.
