OHV is seeking to engage a consultant professional historian – could it be you?

Oral History Victoria (OHV), in partnership with Victorian Collections, is delighted to have received a Local History Grant for a project titled ‘Guide to Creating and Preserving Victorian Community Oral History’. The funding will be used to employ a Consultant Professional Historian to create a web-based guide and online training for Victorian community groups that wish to create and preserve oral history collections. The successful applicant will have membership of Professional Historians Australia, amongst other skills and specific experience.

Call for Papers – OHA Journal 2025

Contributions for the peer review and reports sections of the 2025 issue of our journal Studies in Oral History are now being accepted. The deadline for submission of peer review articles is 17 January 2025 and for reports it is 30 April 2025.

The theme for this issue is the same as that of our 2024 Biennial Conference, ‘The Power of Oral History – Risks, Rewards & Responsibilities’. Presenters at the conference are therefore encouraged to submit articles based on their conference presentations.
