2020 Oral History Award Nominee Presentations and AGM

Members and friends of Oral History Victoria are invited to attend our award nominee presentation evening and AGM online (via zoom) at 5:30pm on the 29th of October 2020.
This year the Oral History Victoria Award judges have shortlisted three extraordinary projects, each of which uses personal testimony in creative ways that challenge audiences to think and feel differently about important contemporary issues.
- Cockatoo: Voices from the Past – Dot Griffin, Jan Shaw, Ruth South and Arthur Wintle, Cockatoo History and Heritage Group
- Memories of the Women’s Royal Australian Air Force 1951-1977 – Jessica Ferrari, Memento Media
- Out of the Madhouse: From Asylums to Caring Community?, Arcadia, Australian Scholarly Publishing, 2020 – Sandy Jeffs and Margaret Leggatt.
The 2020 Oral History Award is jointly awarded by Oral History Victoria, the Royal Historical Society and Public Records Office Victoria. The creator/s for each of the shortlisted projects will conduct a brief presentation outlining their work. After the nominee presentations we will hold the Oral History Victoria AGM, including reports on achievements this past year and plans for the next, and the election of the new OHV Committee.
