The 40th Australian Historical Association (AHA) Conference, will be hosted by Deakin University Contemporary Histories Research Group on the theme Urgent Histories, at the Deakin Geelong Waterfront Campus, 27th June – 1st July 2022.
Oral History Victoria is supporting an oral history stream at Conference.
We encourage oral historians from around the country to submit proposals for this strand. We are especially keen to receive proposals that consider methodological and theoretical issues in the creation and use of oral history, including, for example:
- challenges in oral history interviewing
- the interpretation of memories
- legal or ethical issues in oral history
- innovative approaches to making history with oral history material
- oral history and advocacy.
Abstracts are due 13 March 2022. When submitting proposals, please be sure to nominate the Oral History stream.
