OHV warmly congratulates the winners of the 2021 Oral History Award (Victorian Community History Awards)
Lynda Mitchelson-Twigg, representing the Gippsland Lakes commercial fishing community.
Assisted by Nikki and Leigh Henningham, Tanya King, Donna Squire and Geoff Stanton for their oral history and photography project End of an Era: The Last Gippsland Lakes Fishermen.
The Oral History Award is presented as a category of the Victorian Community History Awards, as a collaboration between Oral History Victoria, the Public Records Office Victoria and the Royal Historical Society.
We also congratulate OHV’s new President Alice Garner, who with Commonplace Productions (Bill Garner and Sue Gore), Kacey Sinclair, Pat Furze and the Band Friends of Wendy Cotton, received the Historical Interpretation Award at the Victorian Community History Awards for Finding Fanny Finch.
